The technical company Eko wants to prevent the debut of Quibi next Monday. The digital video company filed an application for a temporary injunction with the federal court this afternoon. They claim that Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman have acquired trade secrets and violated Turnstyle’s patented technology. This technology allows viewers to switch seamlessly from vertical to landscape mode during video playback. Quibi denies these accusations and claims that his engineers came up with the idea.

Echo also accuses Jeffrey Katzenberg and Kibi of being above the law. Katzenberg and Meg Whitman quickly raised nearly $2 billion for their streaming platform, which consists of ten-minute shows. The new streaming platform is expected to be launched next Monday, but it may not be able to do so, depending on the decision of the court. You can read the court documents below.

POWERFUL : Even O.J. Simpson believes that Tiger King Carol Baskin murdered her husband
Quibi, which had a devastating effect on Echo’s reputation on the market and caused significant and unquantifiable damage. Once it was thought that Eko had an innovative, unique and proprietary technology, and now it is necessary to explain why it has the technology that Quibi adopted from it. Quibi seems to believe she is above the law thanks to her stellar strength and her efforts to attract Hollywood talent.

Kibi and Echo have been at war and chasing each other for months. Jeffrey Katzenberg says he barely remembers meeting Joni Bloch, the director general of ecology, in March 2017. A year later, Quibi was launched and another meeting took place between the employees of both companies. Our Turnstyle technology was developed at Quibi by our talented engineers and we even patented it, as a report on a streaming platform shows. These allegations are absolutely unfounded and we will vigorously defend ourselves against them in court.

Echo also says that Quibi tries to take advantage of people who practice social distance and stay in the apartment when they start. According to the technology company, the new streaming platform uses news as a marketing tool. Behind Quibi are many representations and the power of the stars, with a lot of original content along the way. Jennifer Lopez, Chrissy Tigan, Chance Rapper, Liam Hemsworth, Sophie Turner, Lena Waite, Nicole Richie and Reese Witherspoon are just some of the stars participating in short performances.

Quibi is under pressure and Echo is trying to prevent it from exploding. They plan to release another 175 shows in the near future, which is a huge number, and they are currently offering a free 90-day trial for users who sign up by next week. The normal monthly price is set at $4.99 (with advertising) and $7.99 (without advertising). At the moment it is not clear how the judge will decide in this case. The deadline was the first to report a warrant.

The stakes: Continuous transfer
